The Mount Royal Faculty Association’s bargaining process is currently subject to change in light of recent legislative changes. With the passing of Bill 7 in Spring 2017, the Faculty Association became a union under the Alberta Labour Relations Code *Link directly to LRC* and had the right to strike/lockout restored.

In 2018 there will be a full round of bargaining in which the negotiating teams will be incorporating necessary changes to ensure the Collective Agreement is in line with the Labour Relations Code. Other items will be brought to the table based on the stated interests of both parties. Bargaining will proceed with an interest focused approach as outlined in article 21 of the Collective Agreement

The MRFA Negotiating Team will make regular updates to the membership throughout the process. And, members are encouraged to submit their input to the Negotiating team.
