The MRFA is entering a full round of bargaining in 2018 and updates will be provided to the membership at Regular Meetings and on the Negotiations pages of the website.
The two negotiating teams undertaking collective bargaining this year have little diversity, especially in terms of gender. While there is some diversity on the Association’s team, we want to demonstrate the Association’s commitment to diversity and equity. To this end, the Negotiations Committee requested the MRFA Executive Board strike an Ad Hoc Collective Bargaining Advisory Committee (CBAC) to offer advice the Negotiating Committee related to collective bargaining from a diversity and equity perspective. Members of CBAC will meet with the Negotiations Committee or its representatives as needed to offer advice on Collective bargaining issues that impact diversity and equity at Mount Royal University.
