Appointment Types

Contract faculty are appointed to one of three categories:

• Sessional;
• Continuing; or
• Fixed term.

Article 4 in the Collective Agreement deals with contract appointments.

The Association is working to develop pathways to permanent appointments for contract faculty. A session was held on this topic in January 2024. The recording of that session is available here and the notes from the session are available here.
