Call for Proposals for the Mount Royal Teaching and Learning Scholars Program.

find attached a request for proposals to a new initiative from the Faculty of Teaching and Learning - the Mount Royal Teaching and Learning Scholars Program: Supporting Faculty in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.

The purpose of the Teaching-Learning Scholars Program is to support a cross-disciplinary cohort of Mount Royal faculty in the design and implementation of course-based inquiry projects focused on student learning. Scholars will be selected for one-year terms, will participate in three multi-day off-site residencies, and will engage in monthly collaborative activities. The program will be facilitated by Dr. Richard Gale, Visiting Scholar, Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.

Deadline for submission of proposals is Friday December 19, 2008 at noon. For faculty wishing to discuss the initiative with Dr. Gale, two opportunities have been scheduled during the week of his next visit to campus:
